LeanUnlimited Score between the posts at the National Manufacturing Conference

As part of our on-going promotion of the new Behavioural Diagnostic and High Performance coaching system we were proud to sponsor & attend the inaugural National Manufacturing conference in the Aviva Stadium on November 21st last.

The theme of the event was focussed on how Irish companies are embedding the philosophies of lean manufacturing and automation to improve competitiveness in slowly recovering markets. The conference used a three pronged approach:

  1. From Government and National support agencies such as Enterprise Ireland, Forfas and the Irish Exporters outlining trends in international markets and  funding & investment supports available to Irish based companies.
  2. From Universities & Academia delivering presentations on the current research models & thinking in Supply Chain Optimisation and technology developments.
  3. And, perhaps most interestingly, the wealth of case studies from the companies at the coalface of Lean & automation and how they manage to gain and sustain their improvements over time with all the hurdles and successes that comes with it.

“LeanUnlimited logo shone in lights on the big screen in the Aviva”

The conference was ably chaired by former Presidential Candidate Sean Gallagher who, in fairness seems to have a good grasp of the current state of Irish manufacturing and the challenges and opportunities that face it. For a new event it was well supported by the industry, we were delighted to get to meet some of our existing clients, and of course take the opportunity to introduce ourselves to those looking to make the next step in their improvement journey.

Of course, while finding the conference enlightening & useful a real highlight came when the LeanUnlimited logo shone in lights on the big screen in the Aviva, just 2 days before the agonising defeat to New Zealand. Unfortunately the logo didn’t provide any inspiration for the team but was a real thrill for the kids highly accomplished lean coaches at LeanUnlimited!
